Learning First Aid at home

Use the last few weeks of the summer term to help learn life-saving skills with a brand new learning site, First aid champions. The British Red Cross have developed a suggested home-learning route through their site to make it easy for parents and teachers to use. Here are their five reasons to start using it:

  1. Simple to learn. Each first aid skill focuses on one key action making it simple to teach and easy to learn.
  2. Fun for the whole family. You don’t need any first aid skills to use the site and there’s independent learning too.
  3. Learn a life skill. What could be more rewarding than learning lifesaving skills?
  4. Put kindness into action. One way you can be kind is by learning first aid.
  5. Safety at home. Mark this week’s Child Safety Week by learning about the dangers in the home.

Children and young people can learn by following the stories of relatable characters and engage with photos, films and quizzes. There are differentiated activities for primary and secondary learners.
