Free Careers Event during half-term

Please see below a letter from the Police and Crime Commissioner for Kent, Matthew Scott. It provides details of a careers event taking place during half-term which we hope you will be interested in.

"I am writing to make you, your staff, pupils and parents aware of my Bluelight Jobs Fayre, which is taking place at North Kent College's Dartford Campus during half-term on Friday 26 October between 10am and 4pm.

The Bluelight Jobs Fayre is my way of supporting Kent Police's biggest recruitment drive in a generation. It also represents a substantial recruitment and careers collaboration I have brought together between:

•Kent Police
•Kent Fire and Rescue Service
•South East Coast Ambulance Service
•Kent and Medway Partnership NHS Trust
•Courts, Prisons, Rehabilitation and the Crown Prosecution Service
•British Transport Police

There will also be opportunities for people to find out about opportunities in my "Volunteering Zone", where I will be joined by recruiters for the Special Constabulary, Appropriate Adults, Independent Custody Visitors’ scheme, Victim Support, the magistracy, Restorative Justice providers, and advice services from North Kent College and Jobcentre Plus.

Event information is available via

Yours sincerely,

Matthew Scott
