6th Form Judith Wreford Sixth Form Tutors: Mrs G Ball A MESSAGE FROM THE ASSISTANT PRINCIPALSt George’s Sixth Form has existed in its present form for nearly ten years. From small beginnings the Sixth Form has developed into an established part of the school with over one hundred and twenty students. Our Sixth Form was a founding member of the Thanet 16+ Consortium of schools. This organisation allows students to study a wide variety of subjects at neighbouring schools and colleges while being based at the school. The Sixth Form prides itself on the welcoming and friendly environment of the Sixth Form Centre. Sixth Form students involve themselves in a variety of activities outside the classroom and have developed links with a wide range of charitable organisations. A strong part of Sixth Form life are the links that it has with the lower school. Sixth Form mentors support pupils to access the mainstream curriculum and develop their skills both within the Learning to Learn scheme and across the curriculum. I am proud to have a team of seven experienced Tutors who look after all aspects of student life. The positive relationship between staff and students is another notable advantage of being a Sixth Form student at the school.
