The year 10 team strive to support students through the transition from KS3 to KS4 ensuring they optimise their chances to fulfil their potential. We aim to ensure that ‘Every Child Matters’ and every student at the school is equally important. We want to help students progress and develop, both academically and socially. This is aided by the work experience week that all year 10's participate in. You will find copies of relevant information booklets, homework timetables and letters home on the links shown. The Year 10 Charity is Evelina Children's Hospital.
If you need to contact your child’s Head of Year, Mrs Wright, please email her at email@example.com or she can be contacted via the main school switchboard. Ms Bell, Pastoral Support Officer firstname.lastname@example.org, will be able to help you if your query is urgent.
To report an absence due to illness or other unforeseen circumstances, please contact the school's absence line on 01843 609030 on each day of the absence. Alternatively, you can email Lynn Fisher, our Attendance Officer at email@example.com each day. Please include details of your child's name, form and the reason for absence in your message.
Throughout year 10 students will continue with their chosen pathway. Students have 4 hours of Maths and English, Science for 6 hours, PE and RE for 2 hours, and 3 options subjects in the remaining 7 hours. Year 10 students will sit Triple Science GCSE in the summer of Year 11. We use Edexcel as our examination board for science.
