Gloucester students have been very keen to raise money not only from the non-school uniform days at the end of term but also through cake sales, sponsored silences and sponsored bicycle rides. We are always open to suggestions for a new charity to support and welcome proposals from the students for their favourites.

Gloucester House History

Gloucester House has only been in existence since September 2000 as part of the expansion of St George’s, a white or ‘silver’ stripe through a blue tie identifies us.

Students in Gloucester House are encouraged to be enthusiastic and participate in House events. In 2004-2005 we finished a very close second in the House Challenge despite only having 7G, 8G, 9G and 10G to compete. This positive attitude surely helped Jacqui Sharpe, Tiana Doulton and George Wood to be selected as School Games Captains. George was also made Deputy Head boy with Krishan Patel and Humaira Choudhury in the running as well.

Although we were unable to match or better the 2004-05 achievements in 2005-06 or 2006-07 we still have many successes to celebrate. More prefects than any other house in the following year plus Head Boy, Drayson Goldfinch, and Deputy Head Girl, Charisma Creed. Girls School Games Captains Liana Timms and Charisma Creed and in athletics the Victor Ludorum was Hadleigh Hilsdon. This year we again have very strong prefects and the Head Girl Georgia Boyce.

Gloucester House staff are very proud of what our students have achieved and more so the effort they have put in alongside their sporting attitude.

We look forward to continuing success.
