St George’s Church of England Foundation School has opened its doors to its newest students following the school’s expansion to an all-through 4 – 19 years’ provision. The school opened on Monday 5th September with two Reception classes, one Year One class and one Year Two class. Thanks to the combined and committed effort from Baxall Construction and the school staff, the building was ready to open on time just 10 months after construction started. The school mirrors many elements of the secondary site and has a red colour theme running throughout. The classrooms are large, light and airy and all of them have outdoor classrooms. The students all wear the same St George’s C of E Foundation School uniform throughout and the primary children look exceptionally smart in their blazers and ties. All of the new students have settled very quickly into their new school and their classrooms look established already. Every child received a prayer book and teddy from the Principal, Mrs Stoner, kindly donated by St Phillip’s Church in Cliftonville, Queens Road Baptist Church in Broadstairs and Keel Toys.

“This is an amazing opportunity for students to attend an all-through provision based on the Christian and family values of Hope, Compassion, Forgiveness, Friendship and Wisdom, where we all strive for excellence in everything we do. We are so fortunate to have this provision to enhance the life opportunities for all our young people" (Mrs K Stoner – Principal)
