Parent Governor Election - September 2021

To be a Parent Governor, no special qualifications are required, and the most important thing is to have a keen interest in the school and be prepared to play an active part in the Governing Boards’ work. There is a high level of confidentiality required in the role, and it is entirely voluntary. In order to support the Governing Board, you will be provided with full training, and are required to attend both a school induction and a Kent County Council Governors induction course. You would be required to attend a Full Governing Board meeting once a term, which lasts no longer than 2 hours, and be part of Governor monitoring teams throughout the year. This means there is a time commitment to be a Parent Governor.
