YEAR 7 PLACES SEPTEMBER 2021

The deadline for Year 7 applications for September 2021 entry is now closed.

Year R September 2021

Year R September 2021 - Our virtual open event will be live on the school website as from 16th November 2020.  In addition to this an information pack, can be requested from the school, which includes our school supplementary form.  To request a pack please email admin@st-georgescofe-thanet.kent.sch.uk

Year R September 2021 School Supplementary Form

To apply for a place for Year R and Year 7 you will need to complete the School's Supplementary Form and return to Admissions at the school.  You will also need to complete the online Common Application Form (CAF), which can be found at www.kent.gov.uk

YEAR R:  
Deadline for online CAF to be completed:  15th January 2021
Deadline for School Supplementary Form to be completed and returned to the school 22nd January 2021
National Offers Day 16th April 2021

 

YEAR 7:  
Deadline for online CAF to be completed:          2nd November 2020
Deadline for School Supplementary Form to be completed and returned to the school 9th November 2020
National Offers Day 1st March 2021

SIXTH FORM:

You can apply for a Sixth Form place after 1st November.  To apply for a Sixth Form place you need to go through the Kent Choices website - www.ucasprogress.com/search.  You will receive log in information in November.  If you have not received this information please speak to your careers advisor at your current school.

Appeals

Parents have a statutory right of appeal, should an application be refused, by writing to The Clerk to the Governors, Admissions, St George’s Church of England Foundation School, Westwood Road, Broadstairs, Kent, CT10 2LH, Tel No:   01843 861696

SEPTEMBER 2021 ENTRY APPEAL TIMELINE:

Appeals as a result of standard admission applications will be heard according to the following timetable:

  • Offer
  • Appeals deadline
  • Appeals to be heard by
Primary
Offer Day – 16th April 2021
Appeals Deadline – 17th May 2021
Appeals heard by – end of Term 6

 

SECONDARY
Offer – 3rd March 2020
Appeals Deadline – 26th March 2021
Appeals heard by – June 2021 (to be confirmed)

Appeals lodged after the appeals deadline will be heard within 40 school days of the appeals deadline or 30 school days of being lodged, whichever is the later date.

SEPTEMBER 2022 TIMELINE TO BE CONFIRMED

IN YEAR OR IMMEDIATE ENTRY APPEALS:

Appeals resulting from in-year admission applications will be heard within 30 school days of the appeal being lodged. Appellants will be sent notification of their appeal hearing together with a copy of the school’s case 10 clear school days in advance of the hearing. If an appellant wishes to submit further evidence which was not included with their initial appeal, they must make sure that it is received at least 5 clear school days prior to the hearing date.
