APPLYING FOR YEAR R AND YEAR 7 PLACES (SEPTEMBER 2019)

To apply for a place for Year R and Year 7 you will need to complete the School's Supplementary Form and return to the school.  You will also need to complete the online Common Application Form (CAF), which can be found at www.kent.gov.uk

APPEALS

Parents have a statutory right of appeal, should an application be refused, by writing to The Clerk to the Governors, Admissions, St George’s Church of England Foundation School, Westwood Road Broadstairs, Kent, CT10 2LH, 01843 861696

 

SEPTEMBER 2018 ENTRY APPEAL TIMELINE 

Appeals as a result of standard admission applications will be heard according to the following timetable:

  • Offer
  • Appeals deadline
  • Appeals to be heard by

SECONDARY (2018 INFORMATION)

  • Offer - 1 March 2018
  • Appeal Deadline - 29 March 2018
  • Appeals heard by -15 June 2018 (40 school days)

PRIMARY (2018 INFORMATION)

  • Offer - 16 April 2018
  • Appeals Dealine - 16 May 2018
  • Appeals heard by - Last of Term 6

Appeals lodged after the appeals deadline will be heard within 40 school days of the appeals deadline or 30 school days of being lodged, whichever is the later date.

 

IN YEAR OR  IMMEDIATE ENTRY APPEALS:

Appeals resulting from in-year admission applications will be heard within 30 school days of the appeal being lodged. Appellants will be sent notification of their appeal hearing together with a copy of the school’s case 10 clear school days in advance of the hearing. If an appellant wishes to submit further evidence which was not included with their initial appeal, they must make sure that it is received at least 5 clear school days prior to the hearing date.
