Virtual Create Calm

UCA Kent and Medway Collaborative outreach programme are offering ‘Virtual Create Calm’ live workshops

 

These workshops are accessible to all young people aged 13 - 18 regardless of creative abilities and interests. The workshops use creative activities to promote positive wellbeing and resilience. The workshops encourage young people to switch off from their everyday pressures during this stressful and potentially anxious time, by participating in a calm and relaxing session.

Mindful Marks – Friday 5th February - 12pm-1pm

During this workshop, students will be introduced to mindfulness techniques. Listening to sounds and music, students will learn mindful listening and will be encouraged to relax, draw and doodle in response to the sounds – creating mindful marks.

Gratitude Journaling - Friday 12th February - 12pm-1pm

During this workshop, students will learn how to make a gratitude journal and reflect on things they are grateful for. Students will learn about the importance of taking care of their mental health and wellbeing and will take part in a short mindfulness activity that they can use in their own time.
