Reviews of Marking Services
The exam boards take responsibility to ensure results are accurate very seriously, because of this there are quality assurances at every point in the exam cycle. However, the exam boards know that there may be times when there is concerns the wrong mark may have been given. In these circumstances, you can request a review of the marking.
What is it? | When do I use it? |

Access to Scripts (ATS) | |
The ATS service enables you to request copies of a pupils marked exam papers. Scripts do not have the examiners annotation on them, but you can see the marks. | Copies of the marked scripts will enable the school to evaluate how a student performed on particular questions in relation to what they have been taught. If there is a cause for concern about the awarded mark, then a Clerical Check should be requested. |

Getting ready to leave school
We would like your permission to allow us to share information on you with other schools, colleges, training providers or employers who you might be considering as an option for after Year 11, 12 or 13. We will only do this if:
- you have expressed an interest in that school, college, training provider or employer and
- we think it would help you successfully settle into your next place.
We won’t be doing this automatically for everyone, just when we feel it would be helpful.
The information could include: attendance; the best ways to help you learn; behaviour; special requirements; progress at school and other information we think would help make sure the right support is in place for you.
We do not want to limit your options, instead we want to give you the best possible chance of being successful once you leave this school after Year 11, 12 or 13. The information will enable the school, college, training provider or employer where you are going be ready for you when you start.
Keeping in touch once you leave school
The Local Authority. Under the Education and Skills Act 2008 the local authority has a duty to track what all young people are doing up to the age of 18 and we have a duty to provide data to support them. Unless you or your parent/carer, if you are under 16 request, we only share basic information.
Our school. We would also like to track what you are doing when you leave school so we can see if we helped you into a positive destination. This we will help us make sure that the next year group of learners getting ready to leave school will get the best possible advice and support.
The data we collect will be: Course/job title; institution/employer name; level of study; start date; duration of course/apprenticeship/placement.
If you still need some support when you leave school and we haven’t been in touch, you can contact us and we will either try to help or put you in touch with someone who could. It is very important that you make the most of the opportunities available to you after Year 11, 12 and 13.
Your data will be kept in strictest confidence. It will only be published in an aggregated format so your personal details will remain private.
