Term 2 Week 5

 

Bear with each other and forgive one another if any of you has a grievance against someone. Forgive as the Lord forgave you.’ Colossians 3:13

27-11-23

Today we share the Serenity Prayer:

God grant me

the serenity to accept the things I cannot change,

the courage to change the things I can,

and the wisdom to distinguish the one from the other.

A prayer by a Secondary pupil:

Dear God, thank you for loyal friends that have showed up in our lives. Thank you for looking after us and our families during this past year. Amen.

A prayer by a primary school pupil:

Dear God,

Thank you for my family and friends and I hope and I pray that you can make the world better. Amen.

30-11-23

A prayer by a Secondary pupil,

I am thankful for my friends and family and the food you supply us with. Thank you for our families and friends, help us to be patient and loving towards each other. Amen.

Heavenly Father,

We thank you for new life and pray for those we know in hospital at the moment. We ask for healing and good health.

Term 2 Week 6

A prayer by a Secondary pupil:

Dear God,

Thank you for the day you have given us today. Please help us to reach our goals and be able to keep going when things go wrong. Be with us today and forever more. Amen

A prayer from a primary school pupil:

Dear Lord,

Thank you for helping to keep everyone safe. Thanks you for keeping my friends and family safe. Amen

6-12-23

A prayer by a Secondary pupil:

Thank you for all that is good in the world, thank you that I have food on my plate and family at my table. Thank you for great, supportive friends and please help those who feel lonely at this time of year to be comforted. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

A prayer from a primary school pupil:

Thank you for all the good friends that I have and the power you’ve given us through these hard times. Let all my class have good luck and fortune today. Amen.

8-12-23

A prayer by a secondary school pupil:

We pray that you will help us to help our friends and families when they need us. Guide and help us Lord, Amen.

Term 2 Week 7

 

For to us a child is born, to us a son is given, and the government will be on his shoulders. And he will be called Wonderful Counsellor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace.’ Isaiah 9:6

Heavenly Father,

We pray for all the festivities at this time of year and for your joy and peace. We thank you for this time of year, when we celebrate the birth of Jesus. Please bless the Carol service this evening as we celebrate the message of Christmas.

12-12-23

Dear Lord,

We pray for the homeless and those in need at this time of year. May they be kept safe and we thank you for the work of the Gap project, Salvation Army, Thanet Food Link - and others locally who support the homeless community.

A prayer by a year 7 pupil:

Dear God,

We thank you for all the joy, peace and friendship you put out in the world. We thank you. Amen

Heavenly Father,

We thank you that you sent your son, Jesus for us. We thank you too that the best gifts in life are free. Help us to use our gifts to benefit others.  In Jesus’ name, Amen.

Father God,

We thank you for all that has been achieved during these first two terms. Help us to be loving and forgiving at this time of year and always. Bless us all over this Christmas holiday. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
